Ms Jane Hunter
Lawyer / CEO
Ms Jane Hunter, the current CEO of Tritium Pty Ltd and alumnus of State High, strongly believes that persistence is the key to achieve your dreams. Excelling in academia as former DUX of State High and extra-curricular sport such as gymnastics, basketball, cross-country and athletics, Ms Hunter has demonstrated persistence from a young age to achieve her own dreams.
During her journey through State High, Ms Hunter considered many possible pathways for her future career while she was still in high school. Achieving a scholarship into the University of Queensland, Ms Hunter decided to pursue her passion for law (Bachelor of Law). After graduating from the course, she worked as a senior legal research officer in the High Court of Australia. Ms Hunter later received higher education from Oxford University and pursued her secondary interest in business, propelling towards her future career of becoming CEO of a company.
A pivotal point of Ms Hunter's career was working at Boeing as a Chief Operating Officer in Brisbane after moving from Canberra. This transition later resulted in her becoming CEO of Tritium Pty Ltd. These careers also served as grounding for her children's education. Ms Hunter's eldest daughter and son have also graduated from State High and are now pursuing their own interests.
The origin of Ms Hunter's persistence is derived from her experiences at State High and the people she was surrounded by. A word of advice offered by Ms Hunter for students and general audience is to "Find the factor which drives your motivation to persist. Don't ever give up. Aim to achieve your dreams".
