Natasha Gavriel
Officer - Royal Australian Navy
Natasha Gavriel (class of 2007) is a maritime logistics officer in the Royal Australian Navy. Natasha joined the Navy straight after graduating from BSHS and continues to grow as a professional and well respected Naval Officer.
Natasha attended UNSW (ADFA) in Canberra through the Navy and completely a Bachelor of Business. Since then, representing the Navy on overseas deployments and most recently being the maritime logistics officer onboard HMAS Brisbane are two of her career highlights.
Reflecting on her State High journey, Natasha felt lucky to have some incredible teachers during her time at the school, some of whom had military experience. Natasha enjoyed sport, especially football and gymnastics and has special memories of being able to share her school experiences with her sisters Alexis and Demi.
Natasha's advice to current students is to "work hard and don't be afraid to reach out of your comfort zone to achieve your goals and dreams. Find something you enjoy and if you can, make a profession out of it".
